I always have good impression of Expats however after last nite incident it changed my concept of it. Thou itz not all 'expats' are the same with this kind of rude & inconsiderate behaviour.
My family & I went to my parents house for gathering and dinner to celebrate belated Mother's Day. We have an enjoyable and happy time during the gathering. When the sky turns dark & the time was abt 10.45 - 11pm, we were about to bring back our happy moments home. However we met an Unpleasant incident just right under my parents flat downstair driveway.
Before we reached our destination as per above 'traffic plan pix', the cars are already strucked and immovable obstruct by the Expat's car. He was still chatting away with his female friend and ignoring everyone who are stilling waiting for him to shift his vehicle. Upon reaching we got struck and join in the 'wait' too, unfortunately he still did not make any reaction to shift his vehicle thus we make a short horn at him then his female friend signal him that we are unable to pass but he merely took a glance at us and slowly get inside his car. Once inside his car he didn't hasten to shift his vehicle and continue to chat with his friend then behind came a long horn from another vehicle(Car B).
This time, he took a long unhappy glared at us (as thou we are at fault and assumed we are the one making that horn) even though he moved his car slightly forward to make way for all to pass. After that he came out of his vehicle and continued staring at us even though we have drove passed the 'Planting area' after picking up a relative who is waiting at the pick up point.
On our way out, my hubby stopped his vehicle and get down too. By using a courtesy tone my hubby told him that earlier he was obstructing the flow of traffic and it is rude of him to react in this manner by staring non-stop. The Expat replied by saying:" Do you know who am I?" On my mind, i was thinking to myself "Oh my god, what is happening?" This man is obviously being unreasonable for putting his anger on others while it was his fault. Does he mean that if he is of someone important that he has the right to obstruct and delay everyone in the public. As his irresponsible attitude & act is not just purely few seconds matter but is about 1-2mins. It makes us feel & think that he is unconsience-stricken.
I believed there is JUSTICE in our country.
With our good education and culture here, every road users are reminder & taught to abide by road rules to ensure their safety as well as those around them, a thoughtful & courtesy driver, don't road hog, no road bully, etc.
Hope this BAD encounter will be the first and last ....... sighhhhhhhh...
